Location: Niseko, Hokkaido, Japan
Contract term: Seasonal
Work hours: 40 hours per week average. Roster will be made based on resort occupancy and hours variable dependent on the schedule of guests and the tasks requiring completion each day – the role will not always follow a routine pattern of hours and as such will include work on weekends and public holidays.

As a Private Chef, we are looking for someone who has a passion for creating the most sensational and unforgettable holiday experiences for our guests. Key responsibilities
Food Preparation
- Assure that all food preparation will be in accordance with Chalet standard of excellence, policies and procedures, and befits the quality expected from a HakuLife experience.
- All food preparation to follow according to hygiene, food cleanliness and safety guidelines.
- Co-ordination and supervising all phases of foods production
- Final touches during plating and checking, and before pick up.
Operational
- Go through Kitchen Opening and Kitchen Closing check list
- Daily cleaning of kitchen equipment in work area following Closing check list
- Daily check and cleaning of fridge to ensure stock level of ingredients is appropriate and cleanliness of fridge is maintained
- Organize purchase order after inventory check, do the ordering by before 1 week guest arrived
- Responsible for monthly Opening and Closing inventory
- Food cost control
- Daily closing clean and clear the garbage bin
- Manage garbage room to ensure that rubbish is disposed of properly
- Perform all other reasonable task as requested by management
- Snow clearing (when necessary)
- Able to drive for the guest and colleagues (when necessary)

- Reliable and punctual, with great time management
- Quick learner and displays a keen interest for menu experimentation
- Attention to detail, organized with good record keeping skills
Qualifications
- Degree in culinary school (preferred)
- Have attended hygiene and safety course
- Fire and safety knowledge
- More than 10 years' working experience in a hotel or restaurant would be given preference
- International driving license (preferred)
What we offer
- Salary is between ¥250,000 – ¥400,000 monthly depending on experience
- ¥100,000 signing bonus
- Performance-linked bonus scheme. Paid monthly
